This year we will be located at Mary Bray Elementary School in Mt. Ephraim AND Governor Charles C. Stratton School at 15 Frederick Blvd, Woolwich, NJ.My child is not officially in a Gifted Program at school but he/she is a strong student, can they still attend?
Absolutely! This program is designed for gifted AND advanced academic students. Courses will be taught at a brisk and challenging pace, but they were also created to be interesting for the age level advertised. For each class, the teachers provided skills that the child MUST have in order to be successful in the class. Please discuss with your child’s teacher whether they think that your child could handle the class they would like to take. Each child requires a teacher recommendation to attend.
Of course! You can register your child for only one or up to six classes! You are only responsible to pay for the classes you take. Just make sure to double check the schedule so that you do not sign up for two classes that are offered at the same time! How much does this cost?
There is a $100 deposit required upon registration. This covers a $40 registration fee, (for each sibling, add an additional $10), and the rest is added toward your camp balance. Classes range from $135 to $250. Please check the class descriptions for specifics. Certain classes have significantly higher costs because of materials, but don’t worry – this means they will be bringing something home! Your payment will be expected in full one month prior to the start of camp (approx. June 15, 2019). You will receive an invoice via email detailing your total cost. What are pick up and drop off times?
Students attending AM classes may be dropped off no earlier than 8:25, and picked up no later than 11:35. Students attending PM classes may be dropped off no earlier than 11:55 and picked up no later than 3:05. Please note that we want to “cram” as much learning into each class as we can, so classes will not be dismissing until 3:00 PM unless you arrange early pickup. My child wants to stay the whole day, can they bring a lunch?
Definitely! They may bring drinks, snacks, and a lunch. We do ask that you respect that Camp IDEA is a “peanut free zone” for the safety of our students. There will be teachers on hand to supervise the lunch break! It will also be a great time to socialize with the other students attending camp!
I want to register for camp, but worry that my schedule might change. What is your cancellation policy?
At Camp IDEA we totally understand that sometimes life happens and schedules need to change. If you need to cancel your child’s registration, all payments made (less the $40 non-refundable registration fee) will be refunded upon your request if you cancel BEFORE May 15th. If you request to cancel or change AFTER May 15th, all payments made (less the $40 non-refundable deposit) will be kept in your account and credited to you the following summer. This credit is available for one year, can be transferred between siblings, but not between other families or friends.
